Twice in my life I have not taken account of my own counsel. The first, some years ago, was when I did not put my dog onto Serrapeptase soon enough to alleviate his pain of arthritis, despite my taking it on a regular basis. I woke up to my folly, but only after he had endured his discomfort for too long. And within, literally, less than a week of his taking two 400 mg capsules of Serrapeptase a day he was able to run and be free of pain. And he stayed that way for the rest of his life. The second time, once again, it took too long. The second time I bailed myself out. |

If, like me, you have had an animal who has suffered from arthritis, or any other of the many ailments caused by inflammation, you will know how hard it is to watch them suffer. My Labrador/collie cross had all good the traits of both of these breeds - he was a delightfully well tempered dog - but he also had some we would have preferred he did not! He was also prone to arthritis.
Benghi, up to the age of around 10 years old, was fit and active. We walked the Cornish cliffs, ran the beaches and swam in the sea. He loved it and it was hard not to let him have his head. But gradually, despite his sea bathing, an ideal way to alleviate mild arthritic pain, he stiffened up. Within a few months he was on vetinerary drugs which he did not like. They upset him and really, for the cost, the results were little to identify. Finally, one vet said give up the medication and go natural. Why did I not think of this before? I was taking Serrapeptase, so why not the dog? |

What is Serrapeptase? Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme isolated from the micro-organism, Serratia E15. This enzyme is naturally present in the silkworm intestine and is processed commercially today through fermentation. This immunologically active enzyme is completely bound to the alpha 2 macroglobulin in biological fluids. Histological studies reveal powerful anti-inflammatory effects of this naturally occurring enzyme. |

Curcumin (diferuloylmethane) is a polyphenol derived from the plant Curcuma longa, commonly called turmeric. Extensive research over the last 50 years has indicated this polyphenol can both prevent and treat cancer. The anticancer potential of curcumin stems from its ability to suppress proliferation of a wide variety of tumor cells. In several systems, curcumin has been described as a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Evidence has also been presented to suggest that curcumin can suppress tumor initiation, promotion and metastasis. Pharmacologically, curcumin has been found to be safe. Human clinical trials indicated no dose-limiting toxicity when administered at doses up to 10 g/day. All of these studies suggest that curcumin has enormous potential in the prevention and therapy of cancer. The current review describes in detail the data supporting these studies. Bharat B.
